Web Dev Boot Camp Week 9

Image
Hello and welcome everyone! This is going to be my 9th week experience about CSS and working with divs!           In this snippet I am showing my IDE code snippet and in line <10> you can see where it labels "<div...>". In this body of code going through line 17 and 19-22, I have the "src=..." syntax to direct where our div key words are going to locate the images for our body reserved for special photos or sections on a web page.      Everything in HTML for websites is actually composed of a plethora of different color boxes with different outlines and can take up the entire width of our "blank space"; meaning if I want to include like a picture of a cloud into my page and maybe place it on top of text in a certain location or to the left of a headline, then I need to manipulate the blank space and edit the settings of the default components.   As you can see from the first div snippet I've shown above; there is a simp...

Web Dev Boot Camp Week 8

Image
Hello and Welcome to my Full-Stack Web Dev Boot Camp Week 8! This week I made some really interesting progress on downloading extensions for chrome to see how compiling is done through natural HTML Hierarchy. Last week was just a fill in on how much effort is done when looking at debugging with CSS. After spending a few hours on going through each pathway in every single one of my HTML files so they follow the same href syntax and that all my style sheets were being applied; it turned out that I had to go through every single fille I have created thus fur and override the default "background" syntax that HTML automatically places into the files, but they're placed discretely. Now for starters I have made pretty much asthetic adjustments and will be making some major additions next week as we step into intermediate CSS programming. I will be learning how to implement classes, selectors, and Identifiers!           As you...

Web Dev Boot Camp Week 7

Welcome to my Full Stack development boot camp week 7! This blog update may be a little short since the topics for this week that were covered before venturing into Java Script; was to learn how to debug our own code and working with not only HTML but also CSS files. Dr. Angela Yu goes into depth explaining how to copy our own full pathways and pull up our sites but references how the compiler works when uploading the code and reading both files at the same time. Doing so, there are rules of hierarchy that come into play when the code uploads so that means I was challenged to look at my own code and see if I can inspect it, then spot the logical errors as my browser was loading up the site.      From what I experienced during this practice challenge is that I would run into errors with how the code oversets default settings to the one's I had already put into place, but it was interesting to see that it wasn't the case here. It had t...

Web Dev Boot Camp Week 6

Image
Welcome to the 6th week of the experience with a full stack developer boot camp!                         Above shows what I have worked on quite a bit this week learning about what's called "internal CSS" code!        Now that I've learned how to create the framework essentially of the site, it was time to learn how to start adjusting the aesthetics of the site and work a little bit with the styling kits that are built into CSS code already. I decided to change my profile picture to be a little more casual as an adjustment and made it circular to be slightly more appealing to eye since I didn't like the last block cowboy hat photo. For the theme, I decided to go with some phoenix suns colors and plan on making it look a little bit more appealing later on when I figure out how to get the different layers and textures organized.           Here we still see...

Web Dev Boot Camp Week 5

Welcome to my 5th week of working on the Full-Stack Web Dev boot camp! The progress made this week has taken several hours but I am nothing short of happy for the work done so far with my website. Everything is really coming together, and I have finally gotten it published with the help of github.com!  \                Right here we can see that I've included some more content sections on my webpage; but there is not a table included under work experience.          The syntax or otherwise known as the written code for this was a unique taught experience. Dr. Angela Yu had explained that we physically type the word  "<table> </table?" into our code and set up rows and columns pertaining to each labeled category. Along with this I had learned how to get a functional form that takes user input for contacting me!           The snippet above shows m...

Web Dev Boot Camp week 4

Image
This is going to be my 4th week experience with full stack bootcamp instructed by Angela Yu. From last week I exaggerated that I still wanted to focus on the argument that those who choose to do bootcamps instead of college can still get great insight and practice with any type of coding instruction. I'll post a snippet of my last week's work to do a comparison from how my website has been developing so far!                    Now as we can see, there is pretty much just the labels and headers with different types of fonts. No hyperlinks or quick links to new pages or self-portrait photo image to see who exactly is the "Jaden Speck" the website talks about. So, from this week's lessons I learned how to import photos into HTML scripts and link the files to a simple pathway inside the same folder. Angela Yu instructed how to use syntax that refe...

Web Dev Boot Camp week 3

Image
This will be my 3rd week reporting on my progress/experience with the full-stack web developer boot camp! Starting things off, I want to elaborate on the key focus point for this blog which was originally how this boot camp may compare to the process and atmosphere of a regular collegiate experience.      The videos are somewhat all less than 20 minutes so far give or take; however, there are periods in the video when the instructor Angela Yu, challenges the viewer to do research on their own as we progress through the video and follow along the coding processes. Certain time stamps, one portion of the examples will be completed, and then will reference what tools on the internet we can use to make our own adjustments or do extensive research.       Naturally I would follow up the previous paragraph with a snippet photo of the instructor's example; however, attempting to take any snippets would be considered as plagi...
